The Young Dragons were in action at Harleston on Sunday 2nd November.
Dragon’s Girls U12 A Team came 6th in the Magpies tournament this Sunday. The team was Annabelle Hodgson, Charlotte Knight, Francesca Sabberton, Harriet Marlee, Lucy Buxton, Nicky Dawson, Sofia Groves, Stella Windsor Waite and Tilly Connors Beckett. The results were:

lost 1- 0 v Dereham
lost 0 – 3 v City A
drew 1 – 1 (Annabelle) v Pelicans
won 1 – 0 (Nicky) v Watton
drew 0 – 0 v Magpies B
A new look U12 Girls B team travelled to Harleston with many of the players getting their first taste of tournament hockey. Although it was a tough day with a draw against Watton and an unlucky defeat to Dereham the highlights, a huge number of positives were to be seen throughout the tournament.
Poppy was superb in the early matches, making save after save, icluding a superb triple save against Magpies. Yllandah (what a goal line clearance!!) and Charlotte both looked increasingly confident in defence and improved their positioning. Sasha and Beatrice worked tirelessly and tracked back well to aid in defence, making important tackles.
Emily and Orla were superb on the wings and increased in confidence with every game, finding space and taking on players.
Although we faced some very strong teams (and miserable weather), all of the players should be delighted with the experience gained and the leaps of improvement they have made.
