Many congratulations for some great successes for our Partnership Schools over the last week, great to see Norwich Dragons’ players playing a pivotal role in each team.
Norwich High School for Girls under 19 team won the Girls’ Day School Trust championship. Captain Niamh Lowe-Davies alongside sister Aoife, Pollyanna Watson, Maddie Denman, Emma Buxton, Pip Howes and Laura Bruce represented Norwich Dragons HC in the team, a fantastic achievement by all the girls!!
Last Tuesday the U16 Hockey squad travelled to Gresham’s for the County round of the National Schools’ Hockey Competition, having won the Area tournament beating Langley and Norwich School. The Girls took the County Title for the second successive season with a 10-0 win over Litcham, a 3-0 victory over Wymondham College to secure a semi-final place against hosts Gresham’s a well-deserved 3-0 victory ensured the girls booked their place at the Regional Finals to be held in November at the UEA. The final against Langley needed a special goal from Aoife to split the sides.
Well done to Dragons Aoife, Pip, Rachel and Chelsea!
and last but by no means least, on Friday Town Close under 11 Girls made it through to the Independent Schools’ National Finals in November at Repton School, well done to our Young Dragons Jemima W, Sophia K and Amy B and good luck for the National Finals!!
