After battling through a tough group phase at the Magpies Tournament with three 1-0 defeats and one 2-0 defeats, the Dragons team came good in the quarter finals of the plate, beating a team including Dragons’ own Dave Pentin 3-0 (Matt Knights, Nat Beal, Dan Cheesman), before beating Norwich School 1-0 on grass (Dan Cheesman) leaving us to face City in the final (who had beaten us 2-0 in the group stage).

Despite early pressure it took us a while to find the first goal, which came after Rupert Snelling deflected home a cross following some great build up play down the right. Some further good passing play down the left hand side lead to Dan Cheesman breaking free 1-on-1 and picking his spot to seal the win.
