With so much ‘Summer’ hockey on offer at Norwich Dragons Hockey Club and the weather being so ‘Summery’ it is no wonder we have so many current and potential Club Members getting involved.

Our extremely successful Mixed Summer league with over 20 teams from across Norfolk and North Suffolk has seen record numbers of Dragons ladies wanting to get involved, almost 60 ladies registered to play in our 4 Dragon Mixed teams.  We are also taking part in the Broadland 7s with one Men’s team and five Ladies’ teams.

One of our big successes has been the Dragons 7-a-side games on a Monday night, a great chance for existing and those potential new members that want to give hockey a go or get back into a sport they enjoyed or endured as a youngster!  On a cold and blustery night last night we saw 25 ladies and girls having a great time on the hockey pitch.

Still to come in our Summer Programme are the specialist skills sessions, when you have a chance to try something different under the guidance of players that have mastered a particular specialist skill and we also have Give it a Go in Goal and our pre-season fitness training, which is always good fun.

Dragon Yoga, UEA Tournament and much more is also coming up.

It would just be nice to see a bit more sunshine!!
