To All Club Members and Parents,
We are once again running a Race Night as our main Fundraiser of the Season – so please see below details of how everyone can support this event (whether it is by attending or by some other means!). With the 2nd pitch hopefully soon to become a reality and the Clubhouse being next on the list, more than ever, the Club needs to build the necessary funds to support these significant outlays.

NORWICH DRAGONS HOCKEY CLUB

PROUDLY PRESENTS OUR 2015 RACE NIGHT

Saturday 7th February 2015 at the Goals Soccer Centre starting at 7pm

Admission is by ticket only (limited numbers, so first come first served) purchase price £5 to include entry and sausage/spring roll and chips.  Tickets will be on sale week beginning 12th January from Captains (or reply to this email, stating you want to buy tickets).

The evening will consist of 8 races, shown on the big screens in Goals, with some very passionate punters creating a great atmosphere!  If you fancy a little flutter, there will be a ‘winner only tote’ betting booth and a lucky dip forecast available on the night.

HOW TO PLAY YOUR PART BEFORE THE NIGHT:

i) Buy a Horse for a race– Horses can be bought for £5 in advance of the night – there are 8 horses per race (6 races sold in advance – 2 races are auctioned on the night). Horse owners get the opportunity to name their horse and more importantly, win the prize generously put forward by the race  So even if you are unable to make the evening, PLEASE get involved by buying a horse. You could still be a winner, even if you are not there! Horses can be bought from Captains or by email to [email protected].

ii) Buy Tricast Squares– All Teams have been allocated a set of Tricast Squares to sell.  Pick your square, pay just £1 and if your numbers are the same as the first 3 runners over the line in the correct order in the last race of the night…….YOU WIN £100!!!! One guaranteed winner!

iii)     Teams to Provide Prizes – Each Race requires prize, or collection of prizes, to the value of at least £25, which the owner of the first horse over the line, will win.  All teams will be asked to provide the prize/prizes for the races.

ON THE NIGHT:

i) Tickets you’ve bought your ticket for the night cost £5 per head – this includes entry and Sausage / Veg option and Chips. Tickets will be sold on first come first served basis.

ii) Winner only Tote Betting– why not have a flutter on the night. Your opportunity to have a ‘flutter’ on each race, by betting at the booth – good odds offered to all ‘punters’!!

iii) Lucky Dip Forecast Bets – buy a ‘Lucky Dip’ ticket on the night for each race and win the ‘prize pot’ – details on the night!

iv) Auction of Horses for 2 races– on the night Horses for the two Top Prize Races will be auctioned off……..giving you the opportunity to buy the winning horse.

We must follow the UK Gambling laws for this night, no under 18s will therefore be allowed to gamble, although accompanying parents are clearly able to place a bet.
