After an amazing season for the Club, approximately 150 Norwich Dragons Hockey Club Adult Team members gathered at Sprowston Manor to celebrate 4 Teams being crowned Champions, 1 Runner Up, 1 other promoted and 2 top half finishes. It was great to see a full range of Club Members there, from just turned 14 years old to 69 years old and those that have been at the Club less than 12 months to those that first joined in the mid 1970s!!
An Auction on the night raised over £1,000 to boost Club funds as we work hard towards our second pitch and clubhouse to continue our fantastic progress back in the city centre, were we belong.

NDHC Darby Cup Winner for Services to the Club for the Year 2013
The Darby Cup was donated to the Norwich Union Hockey Club in 1983 by John Darby (Club President 1974 – 1979) to be awarded each year to the person considered to have given great service to the Club. The Cup was last awarded in 2008 to Jon Goodson.
This season the Cup has been re-introduced to strengthen our link to our history and our current President, Mike Hardy, awarded the Cup to Andrew Cross. Andrew, as Fixture Secretary, works tirelessly every season to ensure our matches are set up, opposition are aware, umpires and captains. This season, more than any in recent memory, has seen Andrew’s workload double as fixture after fixture has had to be rearranged due to the weather. Thanks to Andrew all our fixtures were re-scheduled within the deadlines set by the Leagues.
