Dragons first in the East Region……

Norwich Dragons Hockey Club is proud to announce that it is the first in the East Region to achieve the new Sport England / England Hockey ClubMark accreditation, with only a handful of awards so far confirmed in England.

In her letter confirming the Award, Sally Munday, Chief Executive of England Hockey said “As we stride towards a ‘Nation where Hockey Matters’ we wanted to acknowledge and thank you for your commitment and dedication to creating more, better and happier hockey players.”.

England Hockey’s Clubs & Facilities Team stated “It is a great achievement, and we were very impressed with Norwich Dragons HC throughout the process.”

Charlie Farrow, Regional Relationship Manager, following his assessment visit to the Club this month said “I was, as always, impressed by the set up last night and it was great to reflect on the amazing progress the club has made over the last few years.”

This Accreditation is recognition of the amazing job that all the volunteers at Norwich Dragons Hockey Club, past and present, have achieved in taking the Club from potential closure (as Norwich Union HC), to one of the largest and nationally recognised clubs in England.

Whilst demand continues to grow for playing hockey at Norwich Dragons, the Committee strive to keep the friendly, family feel to the Club. Recent comments that back this up are:
